Welcome to Maynem, the digital home of Mark Mayne. I am an experienced search marketing consultant who works for one of Manchester’s leading search marketing agencies. On a day to day basis i work with some of the countries best known brands and have been working in the field for just under five years. Within this time i have lectured at two of the UK’s leading universities on search marketing and have delivered proven results for a range of clients.

My early career began at Just Search where i learnt and mastered the fundamentals of SEO. Since then i have gone on to develop a wealth of new skills including PPC campaign management, affiliate marketing and business strategy. Today i use these skills to research, plan and implement search marketing strategies while managing a range of resources. I also work on a range of side projects and can help companies with smaller budgets to improve their online presence. If you are interested please feel free to get in touch.

As part of my what i do i regularly blog for a range of websites including PushON’s blog and my own. These usually contain my ramblings on SEO and on occasion i blog for bloggers located in the US and Canada. These amongst other things generally fill up my day.

Personal Background

Although i am currently based in Manchester i am in fact from a small town in the Midlands called Stafford. Life is generally quite slow in Stafford and at an early age i knew that i wanted to live in a big city. As a result, In September 2000 i left Stafford to attend Salford University and study Business Information Systems. On the doorstep of Manchester life did not get much better and i left three years later with a first class honours degree. After finishing university i did a short stint of freelance work before joining one the UK’s largest SEO companies Just Search. A year later i would go on to move to PushON where i have been ever since.

In my own time i like to develop affiliate sites and play football. I also like to travel and currently spend much of my time in Switzerland. Like many SEO’s i also love geeky tech things such as gadgets and i’m currently learning photography.
