Slightly off topic i know but i couldn’t resist so here is a list of the players that are widely recognised as the best players on the game.

Samuel Eto – As far as players go you don’t get any better than him. The guy is like Usain Bolt and beat defenders for pace with ease. Run in a straight line and he usually does the trick. As well as excellent pace the boy has some pretty nifty ball control and can pass the ball very well.

Peter Cech – On his day this guy will save everything you throw at him. You can try every type of shot and use as many different angles as you like but he still manages to get to the ball. Despite his brilliance he is susceptible to the odd blunder. No ones perfect though right!

Ronaldo – He is definately up there with ETO though i do feel they could have made him a little more well rounded. He has certainly got the skills and loves to through the odd trick in for good measure however his shooting is not quite perfect.

Puyol – This guy is brutal and commands the defensive line with supreme authority. He’s not afraid to smash your ankles and for his age and keeps up with the kids very well. The guy also gets away with some extremely filthy challenges.

Robinho – This guy is average to say the least unless he is on an upper in his morale levels. Then he is like a possessed machine and the ball seems to stick to him. He also has a great turn of pace and will easily out do most defenders. Similar to Robben except this guy can cross.

Kaka – He is not the golden boy of Italian football for nothing. He strikes the ball so well and commands the midfield. His presence and ability to pick a through ball is second to none.

Messi – Technically this guy is brilliant. His ball control in the game is amazing and although he is no overly quick he can pass players very easily. On occasions it feels like the ball is glued to his feet.

Totti – Rome’s number one son is just an out and out goal scorer and his shooting capabilities in the game are awesome. He can hit some real 35 yard crackers and likes to get stuck in.

Rooney – The united striker is in fine form if he is on an upper and in a bullish mood. He hustles over players so well and his link up play is exceptional. Can be hit and miss on occasion though.

Drogba – This one pains me to say but he is a handful on his day. He is a bugger to tackle and can carve out goals from almost no where. Good with his head and i found that you can hack him down a million times, injure him on numerous occasions but he still gets up and continues playing. Same can’t be said in real life as he loves a dive.
